Amaranth species represent a diverse group of plants. Many of them are a rich source of secondary metabolites with many positive biological effects. Total phenolic, total flavonoid and rutin content, antioxidant activity against superoxide and hydroxyl radicals, FRAP (Ferric-reducing ability of plasma) assay and DPPH (2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging assay were determined in ethanol extracts of dried leaves of the new Slovak amaranth varieties 'Pribina' and 'Zobor'. The amount of total phenolic substances ('Pribina' GAE 38.3 mg.g DM and 'Zobor' GAE 26.1 mg.g DM), content of total flavonoids ('Pribina' QE 26.5 mg.g DM and 'Zobor' QE 20.3 mg.g DM) and rutin ('Pribina' 50.8 mg.g DM and 'Zobor' 15.2 mg.g DM) were higher in the variety 'Pribina', compared to the variety 'Zobor'. A statistically higher antioxidant activity against superoxide radical (1.63%·mgg DM), hydroxyl radical (3.20%.mgg DM), FRAP assay (292.80 µmol.L·mg.g DM) and DPPH (54.2 ± 1.78 µg.mL DM) were detected in the 'Pribina' variety. Antiradical and antioxidant activities of both extracts showed high positive correlations in relation to the content of total phenolic substances, total flavonoids and rutin. Amaranth is an undemanding crop on specific environmental conditions and is resistant to abiotic and biotic stress.
苋属植物是一类多样的植物。它们中的许多是次生代谢产物的丰富来源,具有许多积极的生物学效应。测定了斯洛伐克新苋菜品种‘普里比纳’和‘佐博尔’干叶乙醇提取物中的总酚、总黄酮和芦丁含量、对超氧阴离子和羟基自由基的抗氧化活性、铁还原抗氧化能力(FRAP)测定以及2,2-二苯基-1-苦基肼(DPPH)自由基清除测定。与‘佐博尔’品种相比,‘普里比纳’品种中的总酚类物质含量(‘普里比纳’为38.3毫克没食子酸当量/克干物质,‘佐博尔’为26.1毫克没食子酸当量/克干物质)、总黄酮含量(‘普里比纳’为26.5毫克槲皮素当量/克干物质,‘佐博尔’为20.3毫克槲皮素当量/克干物质)和芦丁含量(‘普里比纳’为50.8毫克/克干物质,‘佐博尔’为15.2毫克/克干物质)更高。在‘普里比纳’品种中检测到对超氧阴离子自由基(1.63%·毫克没食子酸当量/克干物质)、羟基自由基(3.20%·毫克没食子酸当量/克干物质)、FRAP测定(292.80微摩尔/升·毫克没食子酸当量/克干物质)和DPPH(54.2±1.78微克/毫升干物质)具有统计学上更高的抗氧化活性。两种提取物的抗自由基和抗氧化活性与总酚类物质、总黄酮和芦丁的含量均呈高度正相关。苋菜对特定环境条件要求不高,并且对非生物和生物胁迫具有抗性。
