This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with manganese hydroxychloride (MHC) on production performance, antioxidant capacity, tibial quality, and manganese (Mn) deposition of broilers. A total of 756 one-day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were randomly allotted to 7 treatments of 6 replicates with 18 broilers per replicate. Broilers were fed corn-soybean meal basal diets supplemented of 100 mg/kg Mn as Mn sulfate (MnSO), or 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 mg/kg Mn as MHC for 42 days. The growth performance of broilers was not affected by dietary MnSO or MHC ( > 0.05), whereas the dressing percentage increased linearly ( < 0.05) with increasing of dietary MHC addition level. The activities of catalase (CAT) and manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD), and total antioxidant capability (T-AOC) in serum and liver on day 42 increased linearly ( < 0.05) with increasing of dietary MHC level, while malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration reduced linearly ( < 0.05). The length, strength, and density index of tibia increased linearly ( < 0.05) on day 21 as MHC supplementation level increased; there were no differences between MnSO group and 40-100 mg/kg Mn as MHC groups in tibial parameters of broilers ( > 0.05). As supplemental MHC levels increased, the Mn contents in heart, liver, kidney, and tibia increased linearly on day 42 ( < 0.05). In summary, dietary supplementation with MHC improved antioxidant capacity, bone quality, and Mn contents in broilers, but no effects on growth performance were detected. Based on the results of this study, dietary inclusion of 50-90 mg/kg Mn in the form of MHC to broilers is recommended.
本研究旨在探讨日粮中添加羟基氯化锰(MHC)对肉鸡生产性能、抗氧化能力、胫骨质量和锰(Mn)沉积的影响。总共756只1日龄雄性艾维茵肉鸡被随机分为7组,每组6个重复,每个重复18只肉鸡。肉鸡饲喂玉米-豆粕基础日粮,添加100 mg/kg硫酸锰(MnSO)作为锰源,或以0、20、40、60、80、100 mg/kg的MHC作为锰源,持续42天。日粮中添加MnSO或MHC对肉鸡生长性能无影响(P>0.05),但随着日粮中MHC添加水平的增加,屠宰率呈线性增加(P<0.05)。42日龄时,血清和肝脏中过氧化氢酶(CAT)、锰超氧化物歧化酶(MnSOD)的活性以及总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)随着日粮中MHC水平的增加呈线性增加(P<0.05),而丙二醛(MDA)浓度呈线性降低(P<0.05)。随着MHC添加水平的增加,21日龄时胫骨的长度、强度和密度指数呈线性增加(P<0.05);在肉鸡胫骨参数方面,MnSO组与40-100 mg/kg MHC组之间无差异(P>0.05)。随着MHC添加水平的增加,42日龄时心脏、肝脏、肾脏和胫骨中的锰含量呈线性增加(P<0.05)。综上所述,日粮中添加MHC可提高肉鸡的抗氧化能力、骨骼质量和锰含量,但未检测到对生长性能的影响。基于本研究结果,建议在肉鸡日粮中以MHC形式添加50-90 mg/kg的锰。
