Abstract

A simple, and practical oxidative scission of aromatic olefins to carbonyl compounds using O as the sole oxidant with poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether as a benign solvent has been developed. A wide range of monosubstituted, -disubstituted, 1,2-disubstituted, trisubstituted and tetrasubstituted aromatic olefins was successfully converted into the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in excellent yields even with gram-scale reaction. Some control experiments were also conducted to support a possible reaction pathway.

已开发出一种简单且实用的方法,以氧气作为唯一氧化剂,聚乙二醇二甲醚作为良性溶剂,将芳香烯烃氧化裂解为羰基化合物。即使进行克级规模的反应,各种单取代、双取代、1,2 - 二取代、三取代和四取代的芳香烯烃也能成功转化为相应的醛和酮,产率优异。还进行了一些对照实验以支持可能的反应途径。
