Abstract

We conducted a case-control study in order to evaluate whether gene polymorphisms were associated with a high risk of developing COVID-19 in a cohort of patients. Six gene polymorphisms (rs651007 /, rs579459 /, rs495828 , rs8176746 , rs8176740 , and rs512770 /) were determined using TaqMan genotyping assays in a group of 415 COVID-19 patients and 288 healthy controls. The distribution of rs651007 /, rs579459 /, rs495828 /, and rs8176746 / polymorphisms was similar in patients and healthy controls. Nonetheless, under co-dominant (OR = 1.89, pC = 6 × 10), recessive (OR = 1.98, pC = 1 × 10), and additive (OR = 1.36, pC = 3 × 10) models, the genotype of the rs8176740 polymorphism increased the risk of developing COVID-19. In the same way, under co-dominant, recessive, and additive models, the genotype of the rs512770 / polymorphism was associated with a high risk of developing COVID-19 (OR = 1.87, pC = 2 × 10; OR = 1.87, pC = 5 × 10; and OR = 1.35, pC = 4 × 10, respectively). On the other hand, the and haplotypes were associated with a high risk of COVID-19 (OR = 5.45, pC = 1 × 10 and OR = 6.33, pC = 1 × 10, respectively). In addition, the rs8176740 genotype was associated with high-platelet plasma concentrations in patients with COVID-19. Our data suggested that the rs512770 and rs8176740 polymorphisms increased the risk of developing COVID-19 and the plasma concentration of platelets.

然而,在共显性(OR=1.89,pC=6×10)、隐性(OR=1.98,pC=1×10)和加性(OR=1.36,pC=3×10)模型下,rs8176740 多态性的基因型增加了患 COVID-19 的风险。同样,在共显性、隐性和加性模型下,rs512770/多态性的基因型与患 COVID-19 的高风险相关(OR=1.87,pC=2×10;OR=1.87,pC=5×10;OR=1.35,pC=4×10)。另一方面,和 haplotypes 与 COVID-19 的高风险相关(OR=5.45,pC=1×10 和 OR=6.33,pC=1×10,分别)。此外,rs8176740 基因型与 COVID-19 患者高血小板血浆浓度相关。我们的数据表明,rs512770 和 rs8176740 多态性增加了患 COVID-19 的风险和血小板的血浆浓度。
