More than any other treatment procedure, the success of removable partial denture prosthodontics depends upon planning and coordination of treatment. It is essential that both the patient and the dentist understand and agree upon the approach to be taken. Fixed prosthodontic restorations are often the foundation upon which the removable partial denture is constructed, and their contribution to the overall success cannot be minimized.
