To investigate the association between serum bilirubin and disease severity in patients with pneumoconiosis.
The study comprised 45 patients with pneumoconiosis retrospectively; all pneumoconiosis patients were classified into I, II, and III stage according to the radiological severity.
Serum direct bilirubin levels were significantly lower in III stage pneumoconiosis patients than those in I/II stage ( = 0.012) but not serum indirect bilirubin. Serum direct bilirubin was negatively correlated with radiological severity in patients with pneumoconiosis ( = -0.320; = 0.032); by multiple linear-regression analysis, we observed that serum direct bilirubin levels had independent association with radiological severity in patients with pneumoconiosis (beta = -0.459; = 0.005).

探讨血清胆红素与尘肺病患者疾病严重程度的关系。
本研究回顾性纳入 45 例尘肺病患者;根据影像学严重程度,所有尘肺病患者均分为 I、II 和 III 期。
III 期尘肺病患者血清直接胆红素水平明显低于 I/II 期(=0.012),但血清间接胆红素水平无差异。血清直接胆红素与尘肺病患者的影像学严重程度呈负相关(=−0.320;=0.032);通过多元线性回归分析,我们发现血清直接胆红素水平与尘肺病患者的影像学严重程度具有独立相关性(β=−0.459;=0.005)。
