Occlusal analysis is essential in the dental clinical practice. However, the traditional occlusal analysis performed on the two-dimensional level can not directly correspond to the tooth surface with three-dimensional profile, therefore the clinical guidance value is limited.
By combining the 3D digital dental models and quantitative data from 2D occlusal contact analysis, this study constructed a novel digital occlusal analysis method. The validity and reliability of DP and SA were verified by comparing the results of occlusal analysis of 22 participants. ICC values for occlusal contact area (OCA) and occlusal contact number (OCN) were tested.
Results confirmed the reliability of the two occlusal analysis methods with ICC values of 0.909 for SA, 0.906 for DP, 0.929 for SA and 0.904 for DP. The Bland-Altman plot, paired t-test (t = 0.691, P > 0.05) and Pearson correlation analysis results (R = 0.68, p < 0.001) verified the validity between SA and DP. Then a novel digital occlusal analysis method was constructed, which not only can locate the occlusion contact and provide the quantitative analysis, but also provide a comprehensive description of the resultant force of each tooth and the component forces on the x-, y- and z-axis.
This new occlusal analysis method can obtain quantitative analysis of occlusal contact including contact area and force information simultaneously, which will provide new impetus and greater help for clinical dental treatment and scientific research.
咬合分析在口腔临床实践中至关重要。然而,传统的二维咬合分析无法直接对应三维牙面形态,因此临床指导价值有限。
本研究通过结合三维数字牙颌模型和二维咬合接触分析的定量数据,构建了一种新的数字化咬合分析方法。通过比较 22 名参与者的咬合分析结果,验证 DP 和 SA 的有效性和可靠性。测试了咬合接触面积(OCA)和咬合接触数量(OCN)的 ICC 值。
结果证实了两种咬合分析方法的可靠性,SA 的 ICC 值为 0.909,DP 的 ICC 值为 0.906,SA 的 ICC 值为 0.929,DP 的 ICC 值为 0.904。Bland-Altman 图、配对 t 检验(t=0.691,P>0.05)和 Pearson 相关分析结果(R=0.68,p<0.001)验证了 SA 和 DP 之间的有效性。然后构建了一种新的数字化咬合分析方法,不仅可以定位咬合接触点并提供定量分析,还可以全面描述每个牙齿的合力及其在 x、y 和 z 轴上的分力。
该新的咬合分析方法可以同时获得咬合接触的定量分析,包括接触面积和力信息,这将为临床口腔治疗和科学研究提供新的动力和更大的帮助。
