Abstract

There is a close relationship between Alzheimer's disease (AD) and diabetes mellitus (DM), and the link between the two is often referred to as type 3 diabetes mellitus (T3DM). Many natural bioactive compounds have shown the potential to treat AD and diabetes. We mainly review the polyphenols represented by resveratrol (RES) and proanthocyanidins (PCs) and alkaloids represented by berberine (BBR) and Lindl. alkaloids (DNLA) from the perspective of T3DM to review the neuroprotective effects and molecular mechanisms of natural compounds in AD.

阿尔茨海默病(AD)与糖尿病(DM)之间存在密切关系,两者之间的联系通常被称为3型糖尿病(T3DM)。许多天然生物活性化合物已显示出治疗AD和糖尿病的潜力。我们主要从T3DM的角度综述以白藜芦醇(RES)和原花青素(PCs)为代表的多酚以及以黄连素(BBR)和滇黄精生物碱(DNLA)为代表的生物碱,以综述天然化合物在AD中的神经保护作用及分子机制。
