Abstract

The triple -defluoroetherification of (trifluoromethyl)alkenes with fluoroalkylated alcohols by C(sp)-F bond cleavage is reported, delivering various fluoroalkylated orthoesters in high yields. This reaction is transition-metal free and gram-scalable, features mild reaction conditions, and tolerates diverse functional groups.
