This study was done to assess the effects of pimecrolimus cream 1% and triamcinolone aceonide paste in the treatment of atrophic-erosive oral lichen planus.
A total of 100 patients diagnosed both clinically and histopathologically as lichen planus were considered in the present study. Subjects were classified into two groups. Group I: Patients in this group were treated with 1% pimecrolimus cream and Group II: Patients falling under this group were treated with triamcinolone acetonide in 0.1% concentration.
None of the patients reported worsening clinical signs and symptoms. No significant difference in efficacy and reduction in burning sensation of either pimecrolimus or trimcinolone acetonide was present.
Present study found no significant difference in the efficacy of both the agents studied.
本研究旨在评估1%吡美莫司乳膏和曲安奈德糊剂治疗萎缩糜烂型口腔扁平苔藓的效果。
本研究共纳入100例经临床和组织病理学诊断为扁平苔藓的患者。将受试者分为两组。第一组：该组患者用1%吡美莫司乳膏治疗；第二组：该组患者用0.1%浓度的曲安奈德治疗。
所有患者均未报告临床症状和体征加重。吡美莫司或曲安奈德在疗效及减轻烧灼感方面均无显著差异。
本研究发现所研究的两种药物在疗效上无显著差异。
