Abstract

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

is a new opportunistic yeast previously named , which belongs to the order Saccharomycetales. Since its discovery, one environmental isolate of has been reported from Myanmar, and one clinical sample from Iran.

CASE REPORT

We report a case of bloodstream infection related to an implantable venous access port. was isolated from patient's blood after chemotherapy, which was meant to control and heal T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. Broth dilution minimum inhibitory concentrations were performed according to the CLSI M27-A3 document. The patient recovered with intravenous voriconazole and was discharged with the recommended prescription of oral voriconazole as a maintenance drug.

CONCLUSION

So far, only one case of fungemia has been reported in the world in 2019. This is the second case of bloodstream infection with this yeast from a patient undergoing chemotherapy in Iran.

背景与目的

[具体名称]是一种新的机会性酵母菌,以前称为[曾用名],属于酵母目。自发现以来,缅甸报告了1株该菌的环境分离株,伊朗报告了1份临床样本。

病例报告

我们报告1例与植入式静脉通路端口相关的血流感染病例。在化疗后从患者血液中分离出[具体名称],此次化疗旨在控制和治愈T细胞淋巴母细胞淋巴瘤。根据CLSI M27 - A3文件进行肉汤稀释最低抑菌浓度检测。患者接受静脉注射伏立康唑后康复,并出院时携带推荐的口服伏立康唑处方作为维持药物。

结论

到目前为止,2019年全球仅报告了1例[具体名称]真菌血症病例。这是伊朗1例接受化疗患者发生该酵母菌血流感染的第2例病例。
