The Effect of Bariatric Surgery on Patients with Heart Failure: a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

The current study aims to evaluate the effect of bariatric metabolic surgery (BMS) on the New York Heart Association (NYHA) class and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with diagnosed heart failure (HF). Fourteen related articles with 217 patients were included in the final analysis. LVEF significantly improved after BMS in patients with HF with a mean difference of 7.78% (CI 95%: 3.72, 11.84, I = 83.75, p-value < 0.001). Also, the NYHA class significantly decreased after BMS with a mean difference of - 0.40 (CI 95%: - 0.62, - 0.19, I: 47.03, p-value < 0.001). A total of 27 patients with obesity and HF were listed for cardiac transplantation after BMS. Of those, 20 patients successfully underwent heart transplantation after BMS.
本研究旨在评估肥胖症代谢手术（BMS）对心力衰竭（HF）患者纽约心脏协会（NYHA）心功能分级和左心室射血分数（LVEF）的影响。最终分析纳入了 14 篇相关文献，共计 217 例患者。BMS 后 HF 患者的 LVEF 显著改善，平均差异为 7.78%（95%CI：3.72，11.84，I=83.75，p 值<0.001）。此外，BMS 后 NYHA 心功能分级显著降低，平均差异为-0.40（95%CI：-0.62，-0.19，I：47.03，p 值<0.001）。27 例肥胖合并 HF 的患者在 BMS 后被列入心脏移植名单，其中 20 例在 BMS 后成功进行了心脏移植。
