Abstract

This article was migrated. The article was marked as recommended. The editor for this theme issue on Accessing Medical Education has asked authors to reflect on how they came to be the medical education professional they are today. My own pathway was non-traditional to say the least. Some professions are sought out and others come about through serendipitous moments and opportunities. My own journey has contributed to my current scholarly focus on professionalism in health care.
