Arthralgia affects menopausal patients.
Here, we report a retrospective observational study evaluating the therapeutic efficacy of a combination of unkeito and boiogito for menopausal arthralgia.
Patients treated with a combination of unkeito and boiogito for menopausal arthralgia between April 2020 and October 2022 at three Japanese Kampo outpatient clinics were retrospectively examined. Treatment effectiveness was determined based on the patient's description of pain. Adverse events associated with this treatment regimen were also recorded. The study design was approved by the Tokai University Ethics Committee (Approval number: 22R196).
This study was conducted by retrospectively analysing the medical records of patients who attended the three medical facilities. All patients received Kampo medicines based on traditional medical diagnoses. Outpatients with a diagnosis of menopausal arthralgia were selected, and information on those who were treated with a combination of unkeito and boiogito was collected.
The age, height, and weight of all patients are represented as the mean ± standard deviation. Statistical analyses were not performed in this study as there was no comparison group.
During the study period, nine patients with menopausal arthralgia received the unkeito and boiogito combination. Four patients showed a "significant" response to the combination treatment, four showed an "effective" response, and one patient showed an "ineffective" response. One patient reported headache as an adverse event.
The combination of unkeito and boiogito may be effective in the treatment of menopausal arthralgia.

在此，我们报告一项回顾性观察研究，评估温经汤和补中益气汤联合治疗更年期关节痛的疗效。
对2020年4月至2022年10月期间在三家日本汉方门诊接受温经汤和补中益气汤联合治疗更年期关节痛的患者进行回顾性检查。根据患者对疼痛的描述确定治疗效果。还记录了与该治疗方案相关的不良事件。该研究设计获得东海大学伦理委员会批准（批准号：22R196）。
本研究通过回顾性分析在这三家医疗机构就诊的患者的病历进行。所有患者均根据传统医学诊断接受汉方药物治疗。选择诊断为更年期关节痛的门诊患者，并收集接受温经汤和补中益气汤联合治疗的患者的信息。
所有患者的年龄、身高和体重以平均值±标准差表示。由于没有对照组，本研究未进行统计分析。
在研究期间，9例更年期关节痛患者接受了温经汤和补中益气汤联合治疗。4例患者对联合治疗表现出“显著”反应，4例表现出“有效”反应，1例患者表现出“无效”反应。1例患者报告头痛为不良事件。
温经汤和补中益气汤联合使用可能对治疗更年期关节痛有效。
