The humped rockcod, is an Antarctic fish of the genus in the family Nototheniidae and order Perciformes. To date, little biological information has been recorded about the genus . Here, we report the first complete mitogenome of the genus . The mitochondrial genome of is 18,631 bp in length, comprising 13 protein-coding genes, 24 tRNA genes ( and were duplicated), 2 rRNA genes, and non-coding control regions. The base composition was 53.74% for A + T and 46.26% for G + C. This new mitochondrial genome of provides basic information for further phylogenetic analysis, suggesting the necessity to exploit a variety of newly discovered mitogenome sequences to infer inconclusive evolutionary relationships in Antarctic fishes.
驼背岩鳕是南极鲈形目南极鱼科某属的一种鱼类。迄今为止,关于该属的生物学信息记录甚少。在此,我们报道了该属的首个完整线粒体基因组。该物种的线粒体基因组长度为18,631 bp,包括13个蛋白质编码基因、24个tRNA基因(其中 和 存在重复)、2个rRNA基因以及非编码控制区。碱基组成为A + T占53.74%,G + C占46.26%。该新的线粒体基因组为进一步的系统发育分析提供了基础信息,表明有必要利用各种新发现的线粒体基因组序列来推断南极鱼类中尚无定论的进化关系。
