Condensation reactions of 3-(1H-benzimidazole-2)propanoic acid (procodazol) with aromatic aldehydes were carried out resulting in lactam and acid derivatives. Basing on the spectral studies (MS, NMR) it was found that in the reaction the hydrogen atoms of the 3-methylene group of procodazol take part. 3-[2'-Acetoxyphenyl)methylene]-2,3-dihydro-1 H-pyrrole[1,2-a]benzimidazol-1-one (3c) was found to possess some analgetic properties.
进行了3-(1H-苯并咪唑-2)丙酸（丙考达唑）与芳香醛的缩合反应，得到内酰胺和酸衍生物。基于光谱研究（质谱、核磁共振）发现，在该反应中丙考达唑3-亚甲基的氢原子参与其中。发现3-[2'-乙酰氧基苯基)亚甲基]-2,3-二氢-1H-吡咯并[1,2-a]苯并咪唑-1-酮（3c）具有一些镇痛特性。
