Abstract

Bacteria show promising potential in tumor treatment, but safety concerns limit their application. In this issue, Gao et al. develop ultrasound-controlled engineered bacteria through integrating sono-activatable gene circuits, achieving local production and release of therapeutic cargos in tumor.
