Abstract

Human milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) are a major component in human milk and recognized to play an important role in modulating gut microbiota, intestinal cell response, and the development of the brain and immune system. While HMOs levels from Chinese mothers across different regions of China have been reported, data from Hebei are lacking. Twelve HMOs were measured from a cross-section of Hebei Han mothers over a 15-month lactation period. The average total of the 12 measured HMOs was 4872 ± 1902 mg/L, similar to that reported for Han mothers from other Chinese regions. Hebei Han mothers had much lower LNnT (59.0 ± 53.1 mg/L), LNFP II (257.5 ± 211.0 mg/L) and LNFP III (149.9 ± 121.7 mg/L) levels and higher 3FL levels (1875.2 ± 1065.3 mg/L) compared to other regional Chinese mother cohorts. The distribution of secretor and Lewis status for this Hebei mother cohort was measured at 68.5 %, 21.9 %, 8.2 % and 1.4 % respectively for SeLe, SeLe, SeLe and SeLe respectively. The results from this study suggest that location has influence over the HMOs concentration.

人乳寡糖(HMOs)是人乳中的主要成分,已知其在调节肠道微生物群、肠道细胞反应以及大脑和免疫系统发育中发挥重要作用。虽然已有关于中国不同地区母亲的HMOs水平报道,但河北的数据尚缺。对河北汉族母亲在15个月哺乳期的横断面样本进行了12种HMOs的测定。所测12种HMOs的平均总量为4872±1902毫克/升,与其他中国地区汉族母亲的报道相似。与其他中国地区母亲队列相比,河北汉族母亲的岩藻糖基乳糖-N-四糖(LNnT,59.0±53.1毫克/升)、岩藻糖基乳糖-N-二糖II(LNFP II,257.5±211.0毫克/升)和岩藻糖基乳糖-N-二糖III(LNFP III,149.9±121.7毫克/升)水平低得多,而3'-岩藻糖基乳糖(3FL,1875.2±1065.3毫克/升)水平更高。对该河北母亲队列的分泌型和Lewis状态分布进行了测定,分泌型-分泌型、分泌型-非分泌型、非分泌型-分泌型和非分泌型-非分泌型的比例分别为68.5%、21.9%、8.2%和1.4%。本研究结果表明地理位置对HMOs浓度有影响。
