The genus Bambuphaga Ramaiah, Meshram & Dey, 2023 is reported for the first time and a new species, Bambuphaga lanceata sp. nov. is described and illustrated from China. A key is given to distinguish all species of the genus. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
2023年首次报道了竹食甲属（Bambuphaga Ramaiah、Meshram和Dey），并对中国的一个新物种——披针竹食甲（Bambuphaga lanceata sp. nov.）进行了描述和绘图。给出了一个区分该属所有物种的检索表。新物种的模式标本保存于中国贵阳贵州大学昆虫研究所（GUGC）。
