[Rare multiorgan failure sepsis with Flavonifractor plautii].

This case report highlights a rare case of systemic bacterial infection with F. plautii, causing severe septic shock leading to invasive diagnostic measures with negative findings. The treatment was antibiotics along with steroids and inotropic agents at the ICU. This is the only eigth published case report worldwide, with every case having differing sites of infection with F. plautii. The only obvious common is that seven of eight patients described were immunocompromised and presented with severe sepsis, demanding a high level of care.
