The increasing applications of composite resins and the need for correction of defects developed over time call for strategies to increase the bond strength of new repair composite resin to old (aged) composite resin. Thus, this study aimed to assess the effect of erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Er:YAG) laser irradiation with various power levels on shear bond strength (SBS) of repair to aged nanofilled composite resin. Thermocycled disc-shaped (4.0×7.0mm) nanofilled composite resin specimens were randomly assigned to 4 groups (n=15): bur abrasion and 35% phosphoric acid (control group), irradiation of 1 W Er:YAG laser, irradiation of 2W Er:YAG laser, and irradiation of 4.5W Er:YAG laser. The SBS was measured after the application of repair composite and thermocycling. Specimens were observed under a stereomicroscope to determine the mode of failure. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to assess the surface topography. Data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA, Games-Howell, and Fisher's exact tests (α=0.05). The mean SBS in the 1W and 2W laser groups was significantly lower than that in the 4.5W laser and control groups (P<0.05). The difference in SBS of the 1W and 2W laser (P=0.999), and the 4.5W laser and control (P=0.999) groups was not significant. Er:YAG laser irradiation with 4.5W power yielded a SBS comparable to that of the control group and significantly higher than that of the 1W and 2W laser groups.
复合树脂应用的不断增加以及对随时间出现的缺陷进行修复的需求,促使人们寻求提高新型修复复合树脂与旧(老化)复合树脂之间粘结强度的策略。因此,本研究旨在评估不同功率水平的掺铒钇铝石榴石(Er:YAG)激光照射对老化纳米填充复合树脂修复体剪切粘结强度(SBS)的影响。将经过热循环的圆盘形(4.0×7.0mm)纳米填充复合树脂标本随机分为4组(n = 15):车针打磨和35%磷酸处理(对照组)、1W Er:YAG激光照射、2W Er:YAG激光照射和4.5W Er:YAG激光照射。在应用修复复合树脂并进行热循环后测量SBS。在立体显微镜下观察标本以确定失败模式。使用原子力显微镜(AFM)评估表面形貌。数据采用单因素方差分析、Games-Howell检验和Fisher精确检验进行分析(α = 0.05)。1W和2W激光组的平均SBS显著低于4.5W激光组和对照组(P < 0.05)。1W和2W激光组(P = 0.999)以及4.5W激光组和对照组(P = 0.999)的SBS差异不显著。4.5W功率的Er:YAG激光照射产生的SBS与对照组相当,且显著高于1W和2W激光组。
