Soft tissue management is critical to successful perioperative management of total joint arthroplasty patients. Patient medical and surgical history can significantly complicate the soft tissue envelope of a patient undergoing primary or revision arthroplasty. Here we present 2 cases demonstrating the use of Laser-Assisted Indocyanine Green Angiography in evaluating tissue perfusion perioperatively. The information obtained with Laser-Assisted Indocyanine Green Angiography serves as a valuable clinical adjunct for surgeon decision making for total joint arthroplasty soft tissue coverage. This report demonstrates the clinical value of this underutilized tool, in an effort to highlight its effectiveness and potential uses for arthroplasty surgeons.
