Abstract

The tea tussock moth, (Strand), is a serious pest, and its sex pheromone is ()-10,14-dimethylpentadecyl isobutyrate. A new and concise asymmetric synthesis of the sex pheromone and its enantiomer was accomplished. The chiral methyl of the pheromone was introduced by Evans's template, while the extension of the carbon chain was achieved through LiCuCl-catalyzed coupling of chiral tosylate with Grignard reagent.

茶毒蛾（Strand）是一种严重的害虫，其性信息素为（）-10,14-二甲基十五烷基异丁酸酯。实现了该性信息素及其对映体的一种新颖且简洁的不对称合成。性信息素的手性甲基通过埃文斯模板引入，而碳链的延长则通过氯化锂铜催化的手性对甲苯磺酸酯与格氏试剂的偶联来实现。
