Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The ToxBH-NM scale, which assesses toxic leadership behaviors in nurse managers, is a questionnaire specifically developed for this purpose. The necessity for further research to identify and evaluate toxic leadership styles in Iranian contexts underscores the significance of possessing a valid and reliable measurement questionnaire in Persian. This study aims to assess the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the ToxBH-NM among Iranian nurses. METHODS: A methodological study was conducted in 2024 with a sample of 359 nurses, selected through convenience sampling from various hospitals in Hamadan city. After translating the questionnaire, construct validity was evaluated in two phases. The first phase involved exploratory factor analysis, while the second phase applied confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, reliability was assessed by measuring the internal consistency of the questionnaire using statistical tests such as Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's Omega. RESULTS: Exploratory factor analysis identified a structure with 25 items across three factors, accounting for 67.6% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated an adequate model fit, and subsequent statistical tests confirmed the reliability of the questionnaire as acceptable. CONCLUSION: The study findings indicate that the Toxic Leadership Behaviors Questionnaire demonstrates satisfactory validity and reliability, supporting its suitability as a questionnaire for assessing toxic leadership behaviors among nursing managers in Iran.

引言:ToxBH-NM量表用于评估护士长的有毒领导行为,是专门为此目的开发的问卷。在伊朗背景下,进一步研究以识别和评估有毒领导风格的必要性凸显了拥有一份波斯语有效且可靠的测量问卷的重要性。本研究旨在评估伊朗护士中ToxBH-NM波斯语版本的心理测量特性。 方法:2024年进行了一项方法学研究,样本为359名护士,通过便利抽样从哈马丹市各医院选取。问卷翻译后,分两个阶段评估结构效度。第一阶段进行探索性因子分析,第二阶段应用验证性因子分析。此外,通过使用Cronbach's alpha和McDonald's Omega等统计测试测量问卷的内部一致性来评估信度。 结果:探索性因子分析确定了一个由三个因子组成的包含25个条目的结构,占总方差的67.6%。验证性因子分析表明模型拟合良好,随后的统计测试证实问卷的信度可接受。 结论:研究结果表明,有毒领导行为问卷具有令人满意的效度和信度,支持其作为评估伊朗护理管理人员有毒领导行为问卷的适用性。
