Visual impairments have extensive effects on the quality of life of those affected. At the only German clinic specializing in inpatient ophthalmological rehabilitation, a multiprofessional team provides medical rehabilitation for visually impaired people under ophthalmological guidance, with the program tailored to the individual needs of each patient. The rehabilitation concept is based on Social Act IV (SGB IV) § 42 and current case law and is therefore holistic, multimodal and interdisciplinary.
