SSi115 was isolated from the brown macroalga . Genome analysis revealed the presence of genes encoding a type VI secretion system involved in bacterial competition and host interactions. Genetic pathways for denitrification and hydrocarbon degradation are identified, indicating its potential role in bioremediation and biogeochemical cycling.
