Abstract

In May 2023, three patients from a village were admitted to the pediatric wards of the Second People's Hospital of Jinyun County due to human respiratory syncytial virus (human RSV) infections. One doctor notified this event to the local Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). A joint provincial and municipal team was assembled to conduct field investigations. Here, we present an interlinked clinical, epidemiological, environmental, and virological investigation of this outbreak in a rural community and an urban hospital, as well as the public health response in Lishui City, China.

2023年5月,来自一个村庄的三名患者因感染人呼吸道合胞病毒(human RSV)被送往缙云县第二人民医院儿科病房。一名医生将此事件通报给了当地疾病预防控制中心(CDC)。省市级联合团队组建起来进行现场调查。在此,我们呈现了对这起农村社区和城市医院疫情的临床、流行病学、环境及病毒学的联动调查,以及中国丽水市的公共卫生应对措施。
