[Features of the cognitive activity of schizophrenic patients in a social situation].

The characteristics of the cognitive processes of 120 patients with juvenile schizophrenia during individual activity and interpersonal communication were compared. The results point to an insufficient readjustment of the activity of schizophrenic patients during interpersonal communication and to the approximation of their cognitive activity under these conditions to individual activity as judged by the major psychological characteristics. The findings have corroborated the initial hypothesis as to a decrease in the motivational role of communication in the organization and regulation of the cognitive activity of schizophrenics.
