Abstract
Irradiation following adult thymectomy results in a reduction of the size of the T-cell pool of mice as adjudged by the number of blood cells which are found responding to PHA. Recovery of the number of cells in the pool does not occur on a large scale over a period of 70 days in the absence of thymus tissue.

成年小鼠胸腺切除术后进行照射，根据对PHA产生反应的血细胞数量判断，小鼠T细胞库的大小会减小。在没有胸腺组织的情况下，70天内该细胞库中的细胞数量不会大规模恢复。
