A method for urgent histocytological examination of the internal organs at autopsies and urgent biopsies is offered which is a useful addition to the routine histological examination. The method is based on the preparation of an emulsion from the organ tissue, staining it without preliminary fixation, and examination after pressing with a cover slip or in dried smears after poststaining. This method of specimen treatment is simple, time-saving, needs no freezing microtome. Preparations can be made in 3-5 minutes.
