Abstract

Mutation and most favorable culture conditions resulted in 1.8 to 3.3-fold increase in beta-1, 4-endoglucanase and filter paper activity by Fusarium sp. 25/2. Culture fluid obtained after 3 days of growth of Fusarium sp. mutant on modified Saunders medium supplemented with 1% filter paper and 0.1% malt seedlings showed beta-1, 4-endoglucanase activity of 42.6 u/ml and FPA of 2.4 mg/0.5 ml x h.
