Choroidal melanoma: the role of conservative therapy.

The indications for and the results of therapy with cobalt plaques and photocoagulation administered to patients with choroidal melanoma are reviewed in the light of present-day experience. 99 patients followed up for a minimum of five years are included in the study. The visual results and survival figures confirm that there is a definite place for these forms of conservative therapy of choroidal melanomata.
