An anti-roll plate system for Ralph knives.

At thicknesses above 4 micron, an anti-roll plate is necessary when cutting frozen sections for light microscopy with long-edged glass (Ralph) knives. The structure of the plate and a system which allows the use of such plates without dismantling or interfering with present systems for steel knives is described.
