Histocompatibility antigens (HLA) and open angle glaucoma.

In 70 patients with primary open angle glaucoma and 70 unrelated controls of identical ethnic origin, the prevalence of different HLA antigens were examined. There were statistically no significant differences in the incidence of the antigens in both groups. There was no association between specific HLA antigen and primary open angle glaucoma.
