Nucleosides and nucleotides can be separated on a polystyrene-dinylbenzene anion-exchange resin, Chromex DA-X8-11 at 50 degree using isocratic elution with 1.0 M ammonium carbonate pH 8.8 or 0.05 M formic acid pH 2.4. The resin can also resolve aminoacyl tRNA on either the analytical or preparative scale.
