Abstract
Activity of nucleolar organizer regions was analyzed in hypodiploid and hypotetraploid clones of Chinese hamster cells. The quantity of the nucleolar organizers was directly proportional to ploidy. It is evidence of autonomous activity of the nucleolar organizers in Chinese hamster chromosomes.
