Amelanotic melanoma of the gingiva in a 59-year-old Japanese woman is presented. The histologic diagnosis of melanoma was confirmed by the concurrent lentigo maligna in the palatal mucosa and desmoplastic malignant melanoma (DMM) in the metastatic foci of a cervical lymph node. Electron-microscopical observations revealed that DMM cells exhibited mesenchymal metaplasia or myofibroblastic differentiation. Accordingly, collagen synthesis of the tumor cells was suspected. A review of 31 reported DMM cases is also presented.
报告了一名59岁日本女性牙龈无色素性黑色素瘤病例。通过腭黏膜同时存在恶性雀斑样痣以及颈部淋巴结转移灶中的促纤维增生性恶性黑色素瘤（DMM），确诊为黑色素瘤。电子显微镜观察显示，DMM细胞表现出间充质化生或肌成纤维细胞分化。因此，怀疑肿瘤细胞存在胶原蛋白合成。本文还对31例已报道的DMM病例进行了综述。
