Information is presented regarding the Reading Comprehension Battery for Aphasia (RCBA). The results of reliability and validity measures show the test to be psychometrically adequate. Multidimensional and plus-minus methods of scoring the test are equally effective, but plus-minus scoring appears to be more efficient. Order of subtest difficulty is consistent for the entire subject group and does not vary significantly for fluent and nonfluent aphasics. Finally, both auditory comprehension and overall severity of aphasia correlate significantly with reading comprehension.
