[Volumetric change in the adrenocorticocyte nuclei of white rats during overheating].

The nuclear volume of adrenocorticocytes of female white rats, overheated at 45 degrees C, was seen to increase in glomerular and fascicular zones of adrenal cortex during the motor excitation, to decrease during the heat stroke (being considerable in the glomerular zone and unessential in the fascicular zone). In the reticular zone, it diminishes at the beginning and at the end of overheating. The number of nuclei of adrenocorticocytes, having a spherical form, is small being directly proportional to the average nuclear volume.
