Study of experimental results shows that physical work capacity if an adequate indicator of human tolerance to adverse environmental effects. Maximum oxygen uptake, being a measure of physical work capacity, can be used as a prognostic indicator of human tolerance and adaptive capability in a hypoxic, high or low ambient temperature environment. Increase in maximum oxygen uptake under the influence of training or adaptation to hypoxia is accompanied by increase in heat and cold resistance.
实验结果研究表明,体力工作能力是衡量人体对不良环境影响耐受性的适当指标。最大摄氧量作为体力工作能力的一项衡量指标,可被用作预测人体在低氧、高温或低温环境下耐受性及适应能力的指标。在训练或对低氧适应的影响下,最大摄氧量的增加伴随着耐热性和耐寒性的提高。
