The authors evaluated the long-term results (after 1-3 and 4-11 years) of hepaticojejunostomies Roux-Y made in high strictures of the common bile duct which developed after iatrogenic lesions of the biliary pathways during cholecystectomy (n = 31). Excellent long-term result were recorded in 27%, satisfactory results in 65% and unsatisfactory results in 8% of the operated patients. The authors emphasize factors which influence the long-term patency of hepaticojejunostomy (mucosal-mucosal technique of anastomosis, transanastomotic drainage).
