Abstract
Cultivation of Escherichia coli K-12 on a medium containing pancreatic deoxyribonuclease at a concentration of 200 visc. units per 1 ml to 1000 visc. units per 1 ml stimulated growth of the cells but only at the lag phase of synchronous growth of the culture.
