Cardiac output was measured in Pietrain and Large White pigs by the indocyanin green dye dilution method. Ventilation was controlled to ensure adequate oxygenation and normocardia. The cardiac output was lower than recorded by other workers in anaesthetised spontaneously breathing pigs.
