Bacteriologic studies of the large intestine microflora were carried out in pregnant women whose future newborns were at risk of developing infectious inflammatory diseases. The studies permitted the authors to determine not only the species and quantitative composition of the microflora, but to assess the degree of the dysbiotic disturbances and therefore the risk of dysbacteriosis development in the future infants.
