Introduction of methods to establish pregnancies in post menopausal women has raised a considerable debate. We must admit that pregnancies after age 50 have some advantages: they suppress the disparity between men and women and they allow women to plannify their life as they want. Although these positives points, one must not forget the maternal and foetal risks of such pregnancies, even if the risks are well documented after 40 and may only be supposed after 50. The outcome of the child, the sources of oocyte and the cost of such methods ought to be considered before decisions.
