Ergonomics training: a joint labor-management approach.

Controversy has surrounded ergonomics--the fitting of jobs to people--for years. Yet, its proper use can improve industrial environments. Here, the authors describe obstacles to building an ergonomically sound workplace, and they outline steps to developing a successful ergonomics program that improves worker safety and performance.
