Senile amyloidosis affects brain vessels and meninges, eye vessels and extraocular structures, and appears during the 6th decade of the life. Its, incidence in patients with senile or presenile dementia and senile plaques is higher than in patients having only senile plaques (the data are based on the examination of 165 patients who died at psychiatric clinics and charitable institutions for old people in Volgograd from 1987 to 1992.
老年淀粉样变性影响脑血管和脑膜、眼血管及眼外结构,在生命的第6个十年出现。其在患有老年或早老性痴呆及老年斑的患者中的发病率高于仅患有老年斑的患者(数据基于对1987年至1992年在伏尔加格勒的精神病诊所和老年慈善机构死亡的165名患者的检查)。
