Three sites of oxygen metabolism in Pseudomonas methanica have been identified on the basis of studies of methane, ethanol and formate oxidation. The three oxidations exhibit different affinities for oxygen and sensitivities to inhibition by cyanide. The results obtained are consistent with the presence of a methane oxygenase and at least two terminal oxidases in Pseudomonas methanica.
基于对甲烷、乙醇和甲酸氧化的研究,已确定了甲基营养假单胞菌中三个氧代谢位点。这三种氧化作用对氧气表现出不同的亲和力,并且对氰化物抑制具有不同的敏感性。所得结果与甲基营养假单胞菌中存在甲烷单加氧酶和至少两种末端氧化酶相一致。
