Care of asthma. A personal approach.

I describe an approach to managing asthma in a family practice office. The approach is divided into stages: gaining control of the asthma, educating the patient, and maintaining the improvement. Patients are encouraged to take control and work with me to manage the asthma. Regular follow up is important.
