Abstract

Synovial fluid lactate dehydrogenase determination may offer a valuable preoperative assessment of polyethylene wear in aseptic total joint arthroplasty. Particulate ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene may result in cell lysis and release of intracellular enzymes. This study tests the possible relationship between lactate dehydrogenase levels and particle wear in synovial fluid. The lactate dehydrogenase level may be used as a marker of joint inflammation from polyethylene wear.

摘要

滑液乳酸脱氢酶测定可为无菌性全关节置换术中聚乙烯磨损提供有价值的术前评估。颗粒状超高分子量聚乙烯可能导致细胞裂解并释放细胞内酶。本研究测试了滑液中乳酸脱氢酶水平与颗粒磨损之间的可能关系。乳酸脱氢酶水平可作为聚乙烯磨损引起的关节炎症的标志物。
